Research Interests

Sociology of organizations in the field of labour; Social and Organizational Psychology with emphasis on communication, leadership and motivation in the context of people management; Personal and Professional Development and Training. More recently in the “Peace and Global Understanding” since it is the most important objective of Rotary International, where he is longstanding member of the Organization and a Past Governor (2014-2015).

Bio

PhD degree in Sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2006). Diploma de Estudíos Avanzados in Sociology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2003). Masters in Social and Organizational Psychology at ISCTE-IUL (1996). Postgraduate in Organizational Behavior at ISCTE – IUL (1993). Degree in Human Resource Management and Labour Psychology from ISLA – Lisbon (1984). Full Professor at the ULHT in Lisbon and ISMAT in Portimão. Board Adviser of ISMAT, Portimão. Member of AISOC – Ibero-American Association of Sociology of Organizations, Madrid. Member of AMS – Madrid Association of Sociology. Member of the Cultural and Pluridimensional School Association. Member of Rotary International. Member of the APG. Medals of Academic Merit: ULHT and ISMAT. Career award in GRH – RH Magazine 2012. Researcher FCT since 2007.
